Polish label converter WEJHERPLAST has invested in a new Lombardi Synchroline VIPER 350, continuing its relationship with the Italian press manufacturer and expanding its label production capabilities.

The 350mm-wide Synchroline VIPER is the latest evolution of Lombardi’s narrow web flexographic platform, with a focus on automation, productivity, production flexibility and register control. The new press follows an earlier Lombardi installation at WEJHERPLAST.

The investment comes as Poland continues to develop into a significant European manufacturing market. According to a Polish label market report cited by Lombardi, the value of the country’s label production increased 80% between 2019 and 2023, with printed self-adhesive labels accounting for approximately 62% of output.

The installation also highlights Lombardi’s partnership with Reprograf-Grafikus, its authorized distributor in Poland, which provides local sales, technical support and service.

“Our cooperation with Lombardi is developing extremely positively, and this new investment by WEJHERPLAST is an important confirmation of what we are building together in the Polish market,” says Tomasz Balcerowski, managing director of Reprograf-Grafikus. “The fact that an existing Lombardi customer has chosen to invest again speaks for itself.”

Lombardi says it sees additional growth potential in Poland as the country’s role in European manufacturing expands.

“We increasingly see Poland not simply as a market, but as an important part of the new European manufacturing landscape,” adds Nicola Lombardi, marketing manager at Lombardi Converting Machinery. “Having a strong partner such as Reprograf-Grafikus gives us the local knowledge and presence required to turn this potential into long-term growth.”
